Doug is a Physical Therapist who graduated from Auburn University with an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and then completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2008 from the University of Delaware. He went on to complete a sports residency at the University of Delaware, becoming a Board Certified Specialist. He owns and treats patients at his endurance specialty clinic Omega Project PT.
Doug's interest in running started when he studied gait analysis with Irene Davis and Rich Willy, and then continued on as a clinician researcher. Doug created RunDNA, a portable 3D clinical based motion analysis device, and the Certified Running Gait Analyst courses. His research focuses on relating running biomechanics to running injury risk, which he works closely with the Air Force.
Doug lives in Wilmington, DE with his wife Devon, daughter Avery, son Grayson, son Parker and their yellow lab Riley. Doug has competed nationally in triathlons for 17 years and is also a Running/Triathlon Coach.
